Istanbul is one of the most interesting cities in the world for culture, city life and history; which is why it’s known as Turkey’s cultural capital. There are so many superb places to visit in Istanbul, and if you love to share great photos on Instagram, then this article is for you! We’ve done the research for you put together a list of the best Instaready locations. With this list, you can make your Instagram profile interesting, colourful and entertaining. Here is our definitive list of the best photography spots in Istanbul for Instagram:
1. Willy Wonka Chocolate – Galata, Beyoğlu
Let’s start with Willy Wonka Chocolate; a fascinating fusion of postmodern interior decoration, classic architecture and excellent desserts. Willy Wonka Chocolate is one of the most beautiful dessert cafes around Galata Tower in Beyoğlu. When you fancy chocolate in the middle of the day, don’t you want to experience a real taste feast instead of an everyday snack? Willy Wonka Chocolate provides that taste experience alongside top quality service and chocolate desserts made to be photographed! Every detail of the place, from the interior decor to the food art will become a perfect minimal themed photo for Instagram.
This is one of the most poetic and high-quality places in Beyoğlu, and booking isn’t necessary. You can just turn up when the chocoholic inside you starts to crave that sweet cocoa goodness. If you’re curious about the poetic Beyoğlu street culture of Istanbul, we strongly suggest you walk around these streets and stop for a dessert.

2. Filbooks – Karaköy, Beyoğlu
Our second choice is minimalist and a bit quieter. The pastel interior makes this a calm and happy space to revive yourself. Filbooks in Karaköy is especially famous for its coffee varieties. If you’re a real coffee addict, you’ll love tasting the different coffees that are crafted here using high-quality coffee beans.
It also has a large library where you can choose from hundreds of books to read while sipping your coffee. And it’s been specially designed as a place for you to take great pictures. Why not check out one of their books about the history and art of photography to give you some tips that’ll make your photo really stand out from the rest.
Filbooks is famous for its swing where you sway your cares away, and there’s also a workshop area which is used by groups producing alternative art. Anyone can hold a workshop meeting in Istanbul here but you must make a reservation in advance.
3. Atölye Kafası Hangar – Balat, Fatih
Do you enjoy spending time in a warm, friendly and cosy environment? Here you can drink hot tea while talking about art and literature. There are many places in Istanbul designed for workshops and the Hangar of the Workshop Head is one of the most popular.
So, what do you need to know about the place? First of all, it’s a workshop; most famously a wood workshop. The products made here are available to buy so after enjoying your coffee you can buy a souvenir made on the premises. Some of the products available are tables, chairs, stools, benches, baskets, safes, decorative products, natural products and presentation products.
It also has a busy concert schedule. If you check the website before you travel, you can choose to go when there’s an artist’s concert on.
Atolye Kafasi Hangar is a great place to go for breakfast in Istanbul in particular. But if you do want to have breakfast here you’ll need to make a reservation. We’ve added the contact information below.
