“Touched by Mankind” by Kalyon Kültür (September 17 – December 17)
The new art season has begun, and we are happy to see that Kalyon Kültür welcomes its second exhibition that turns heads to the unflattering realities of environmental challenges. Curated by Ceren and Irmak Arkman, “Touched by Humankind” is the sequel to the artists’ previous exhibition “Flora”. By expertly fusing the topics in a digital art form, Kalyon continues to raise critical questions about the relationship between the environment and humankind. Up to December 17, 2022, visitors can view the collection free of charge at Kalyon Kültür’s Taş Konak building in Nişantaşı.
The exhibit, which brings together some of the most well-known figures in the digital art world, aims to increase awareness of how humans interact with the environment and highlight one of the most significant issues of our time: the climate crisis. The works of art by Evan Roth, Félix Luque & Iñigo Bilbao, François Quévillon, Kevin Cooley, Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács, Sabrina Ratté and Volkan Kızıltunç are displayed alongside discussions and workshops on sustainability, recycling, and nature that run concurrently with the exhibition.
