In the lively Piccadilly Circus district, savor a delectable blend of ethnic cuisines.

Happy London is located near some of London’s busiest districts and is an excellent pitstop if you plan to visit the Soho region for a more ‘off-the-beaten-path’ experience. For a more traditional touristy occasion, the restaurant is also close to Trafalgar Square.

Happy London has worked hard to bring a diverse range of cuisines under one roof. Because of London’s diverse cultures, the city has become accustomed to meals from all over the world. Happy London has produced its own blend of a handful of these, particularly international meals and sushi.

If you’re looking for something a little lighter, try this British-Italian café bar in the heart of Soho. This less expensive and more laid-back lunch option may be found amongst other more upscale restaurants in Soho. You may even get a takeout and eat it outside at the Soho Square Gardens, which are only a few minutes’ walk away.

Bar Bruno is located on Wardour Street, which has an interesting history as a hub for the British film industry in the twentieth century. Its showbiz heritage lingers on today, as it is located at one end of Shaftesbury Avenue, which is now known for its theatres. Previously lined with film production companies, the street is now home to eateries, one of which being Bar Bruno.

Golden Checklist

  • See if you can catch a show on Shaftesbury Avenue around the block!
  • Try out the all-day breakfast.
  • Don’t forget to talk to the personnel; they’re quite pleasant!

This top London seafood restaurant is famous for its oyster list and magnificent views. The restaurant, Seabird London, is located in Southwark, one of my favorite locations in London because of its air of ‘up and coming’ mixed with numerous historically well-established buildings. You may sample some fresh food at Borough Market or marvel at the dockside replica of the Golden Hinde.

Seabird London is a new addition to the London food scene, the product of a collaboration between Ennismore and the New York-based couple behind the Maison Premiere, an oyster restaurant in Brooklyn.

Golden Checklist

  • See – Take in the expansive London skyline, notably the Shard!
  • Taste – Try the famous ‘Afternoon Sea,’ a seafood platter.
  • Don’t – Don’t try to pay in cash; this is a cashless establishment!

Location

O ver Borough

For those searching for dinner in Southwark, this Italian restaurant offers its ‘Neapolitan essence’ and regional ingredients to create wonderful cuisine. An alternative to Seabird, but still in Southward, you may enjoy everything this neighborhood has to offer! Indeed, the restaurant is just across the corner from Southwark Cathedral and its lovely gardens, where you may unwind with a cup of coffee after your meal.

‘O Ver’s narrative is one of genuine affection for Italian cuisine. Through the use of the unique ingredient Pure Sea Water derived from the Mediterranean, the restaurant hopes to instill its passion for Naples in all of its visitors.

Golden Checklist

  • Taste – Try the capesante as an appetizer and the special of the day as the main course!
  • Do – Save any leftovers for later!
  • Do not restrict yourself. Consume as much as you want! The restaurant utilizes less salt and more minerals in particular to make the cuisine light and simple to digest…so you can keep eating!
