1. Istanbul Taxi Flat Rate and Increments

There are yellow, turquoise, and black taxis in Istanbul. The yellow taxis are the regular ones with a taxi sign on their top. Turquoise and black taxis are luxury taxis. Turquoise taxis are 15 percent, and Black taxis are 100 percent more expensive than the regular Yellow taxis.

Among those taxis, flat rate and increments vary.

For regular yellow taxis, the switch-on price is 24.55 TL, along with a charge of 17.62 TL per kilometer and 90 TL for hop-on hop-off.

Turquoise taxis rides start at 28.24 TL, then tacked on 20.25 TL per kilometer and 102.5 TL for hop-on hop-off. VIP taxis, on the other hand, began their fares at 41.74 TL, with an additional fee of 32.5 TL per kilometer and 153.7 TL for hopping on and off.

If you pass to the other continent by taxi, the taxi will pay a toll, and you will be charged for the toll. The tool is charged for bridges on the Bosphorus, tunnels underwater, or some highways. You will only pay it once, you are not responsible for the return fees of the taxi.

Not every taxi accepts credit cards in Istanbul, you better have cash with you.

There are some common destinations to go from the Sahiba Gökçen Airport;

to Istanbul Airport (62 km) – 1.116,37 TL (plus bridge toll)
to Taksim (65 km) – 1.169,20 TL TL (plus bridge toll)
to Kadikoy (32 km) – 588,07 TL
to Sultanahmet (62 km) – 1.116,37 TL (plus bridge toll)
to Bakirkoy (74 km) – 1.327,69 TL (plus bridge toll)

to Besiktas (39 km) – 711,34 TL
to Sariyer (43 km) – 781,78 TL
to Mecidiyekoy (37 km) – 676,12 TL

4. Bridge Toll for taxis & automobiles

In Istanbul, there are three bridges above the Bosphorus and they have different tolls for passing;

• 15 July Martyrs’ Bridge: 15 TL
• Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge: 35 TL
• Eurasia Tunnel: 80 TL

Side note: Avrasya (Eurasia) tunnel is a underground tunnel going from Yenikapı to Haydarpaşa. It is very fast and easy to use to pass between continents in Istanbul which makes it a bit more pricey than other bridges.

5. New Istanbul Airport Private Shuttle Transfer
