When you come to Istanbul, you’ll see many areas where modern city life and the exotic East come together. The historical fabric of this unique city is carefully preserved and many exotic events are held within the framework of respect for historical values. There are various Ottoman art workshops in Istanbul and some religious ceremonies that you have a chance to participate in. Dervishes, one of the important symbols of religious life in Turkey, are eye-catching and have religious meanings. A special sherbet drink while watching the symphony adds extra sophistication to the event. If you want to watch Whirling Dervishes events, you can read our article about Whirling Dervishes in Istanbul.

1. HodjaPasha Whirling Dervishes Show: Dance Within History

The religious ceremony is performed to reflect the original ceremony in every detail so you’ll be witnessing Islamic culture first hand. In addition to Islamic Sufi culture, there are many events where you can watch the Ottoman Palace Dances. Immerse yourself in an impressive visual feast by attending any of the events called Sema, Rhythm of Dance or White Rose.
