And in 2022 The London Coffee Festival celebrates its 11th anniversary. It will be held from March 31 to April 3 at the Truman Brewery. It is expected to be attended by over 32,000 coffee lovers and will feature around 250 exhibitors, deli stalls, professional baristas, cafe owners, interactive workshops, coffee cocktails, live music, DJs, and much more. Thus, The London Coffee Festival is an unmissable event for all coffee lovers.
The festival presents many interesting things to taste, see and do in their cups for both professionals and coffee fans. Guests will get an opportunity to try their hand at latte art, see demonstrations from the world’s best baristas, and take part in coffee tastings.

Coffee Masters

Coffee Masters is a multi-discipline global barista tournament judged by the industry’s legendary names. The competition will be held in a knockout battle format and 16 contenders will have a chance to show their skills in 7 different disciplines and win a £5000 prize and the prestigious title of Coffee Master.
The Disciplines
16 competitors who manage to make it to the semi-finals will compete in the following 7 disciplines: cupping, brewing, latte art, order, signature drink, espresso blend, and the origin.
The Contenders
16 contenders from the UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Latvia, Germany, Romania, Spain, and Japan were chosen to compete in Coffee Masters 2022.
The Judges
The figureheads of the world of coffee such as Freda Yuan (professional coffee taster and buyer, Head of Coffee in Origin Coffee Roasters), David Donde (founder of Truth Coffee and the owner of The Art of Duplicity), James Wise (Coffee Master Champion 2017 and one of the UK’s most talked-about coffee professionals), Diana Johnston Ledezma (the current UK Roasting Champion), James Hennebry (part Owner of Rosslyn Coffee) and the head judge Tim Sturk (Head of Coffee Training and Development for BaxterStorey and also a Head Judge for the UKBC).

 

The Lab

The Lab will take place on all days of the event and will host industry figureheads who will discuss trends of the industry and give masterclasses on the most well-loved recipes. The event is supported by Lavazza. The engaging discussions on the key topics and trends will provide the guests with the latest industry knowledge and important insights. These educational, inspirational, and entertaining sessions will simply blow your mind.

 

The Roasters Village

Guests of the London Coffee Festival will have a chance to taste some extraordinary exclusive coffees at the Roasters Village. It had a huge success during London Coffee Festival 2021 and this year will be located on two floors just like in 2021.
